Tradie website design Perth: what your site must do fast

2026-08-09 · sevenbyseven, Perth WA

Here is how most people find a tradie in Perth. They pull out their phone, type "plumber Clarkson" or "electrician Joondalup," and open the first few results. They are standing in a driveway or sitting on a couch. They do not have patience for a slow site or a vague headline. They do not want a contact form that asks for their life story.

That is the entire reason tradie website design matters. You have about ten seconds before they hit the back button.

A good tradie site loads faster than you can find a park at Lakeside Joondalup on a Saturday morning.

phone first, always

A tradie site has to work on the worst phone on the worst connection. Not on a designer's Mac in an office. On a cracked screen in a carpark with one bar of signal. Good tradie website design is invisible. The visitor just calls.

If your phone number is buried in a menu, you lose. If the text is too small to read without pinching, you lose. If the site takes four seconds to load because it is hauling a slideshow and a chat widget, you lose.

Most customers will not sit through that. They have a leak, not a lunch break.

My builds are lean by default. They load in under a second on a phone. The phone number is clickable and near the top. The address is clear. The customer can call you before they have finished thinking.

suburbs beat generic locations

No one searches for "plumber Western Australia." They search for "plumber Quinns Rocks" or "air con Mindarie" or "tiler Wanneroo." Your site needs to name the places you actually work.

I build location into the copy without stuffing it. A heading like "Electrician serving Joondalup and Hillarys, plus the northern suburbs" tells Google and the customer exactly where you operate. It also feels local. People want to know you are nearby, not flying in from the other side of the country.

If you travel across Perth, we say that. If you stick to one corridor, we say that instead. The point is clarity, not pretending you cover everywhere.

what a tradie site needs in ten seconds

A visitor should know what you do and where you do it. The phone button should be the next thing they see.

That means a clear headline with the trade and area. A photo of you or a recent job. A clickable phone number at the top. A short list of services. And a simple request form or WhatsApp link.

No blog. No manifesto. No "our journey" page. Just proof that you are a real local tradie who shows up.

trust signals that actually work

Photos of real jobs beat stock images every time. A before-and-after shot of a patio build in Hillarys is worth more than a smiling model holding a spanner.

Reviews help too, if you have them. I can link to your Google Business Profile so new customers can read what locals have already said. Social proof is useful, but it has to be real. I do not write fake testimonials. If you do not have reviews yet, we focus on clear service descriptions and local detail instead.

Licence numbers and insurance details matter. So does naming the area you work in. They are small details, but they answer the questions people are too shy to ask.

built for the way tradies work

I know most tradies do not want to manage a website. You want leads, not another login to remember. That is why my monthly plans include updates. The $59 Launch plan covers one update per month. The $99 Presence plan covers three plus a monthly SEO blog post. The $199 Growth plan covers unlimited same-day updates.

If something changes, send me a message and it gets done. Phone number, services, suburbs, whatever. You do not have to learn a dashboard or watch a tutorial.

ready when you are

If you are a tradie in Perth's northern suburbs, or anywhere from Bunbury to Geraldton, I can build you a site that turns phone searches into phone calls. I do not do online shops, but I do build fast local sites that work on phones.
